Yoshinori Ono, actual productor de Street Fighter X Tekken, ha dicho que este nuevo juego usará un nuevo código de red diferente al de Street Fighter IV o Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
"Espero mostrar las especificaciones del nuevo código a todo el mundo más adelante", dijo Ono.
Respecto a las ediciones Super o Ultimate, "si decidimos crear una nueva versión del juego, seguiremos el camino que tomamos con Street Fighter IV, lanzando actualizaciones online mediante parches. Si escogemos actualizar el juego, será hecho de una forma similar a la de Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition -descargas con nuevos luchadores-".
Street Fighter X Tekken saldrá a la venta el año que viene para PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 y PlayStation Vita.
